Everyday Mom Makeup Routine

My whole life is a struggle between wanting to sleep for five extra minutes and wanting to look presentable for work, or just for #momlife. I have gotten my morning makeup routine down to a 15 minutes science, so while Alex is getting dressed and packed up for school, I am quickly putting on my face so we can still have breakfast together. On the days that I get up and get myself ready, even if I am just working at home, I feel so much more put together and productive throughout the day.

I want to preface this whole post by saying that I am a total makeup and skincare junkie. If I had an extra $100 to spend on myself, you better believe that I am heading to Sephora or Ulta to get my fix. While this may seem like a lot of products to some, this is what works for me and it takes me no time to get myself together in the morning.

If you want to see how I use all of these products, head over to my Instagram highlights. I have my whole makeup routine using these products saved under GRWM!
Let me know what your morning makeup routine looks like! I love hearing about your must-haves because hello, I am always looking for new products to try out!

  1. I, too, have nailed down my morning makeup routine to no more than 15 minutes! Simplifying my makeup has been a huge help to make busy mornings easier. I use a face cream with SPF, powder foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss! That’s it!!

  2. Hey Sylvia! These are such great finds. Tarte is one of my favorite brands for foundation, I fell in love with their amazonian clay foundation years ago. You have fully persuaded me to try out some others :). Thank you for sharing!

  3. I do put on makeup almost every day but it’s not much. I use bare minerals so it’s the base powder + bronzer on my eyes + cheeks. SOMETIMES…I add on a little lipstick but that’s it.

I feel funny dropping off my middle daughter at preschool wearing lipstick but definitely wear it when it’s Bunco night, Moms Book Club Night or we’re heading out somewhere for the evening.

For me, I’m also TERRIBLE at putting on makeup so I just don’t do it.

  4. As a SAHM, my morning routine is lacking. Which is really sad because I love makeup and getting dolled up! I’m working on getting back into a daily routine and self care and this will help me so much! Thanks!

  5. A 5-minute makeup routine
can be a lifesaver for busy mornings or on-the-go touch-ups. To make the most of your time, focus on simple steps like applying tinted moisturizer, adding a bit of blush, defining your brows, and finishing with a swipe of mascara. Don’t forget to keep a few multitasking products on hand, like a lip and cheek stain or a highlighter stick, to streamline your routine even further. With these tips, you’ll be able to look and feel put together in just a few minutes.
