Hershey Eats WIAW

We spent the last weekend in Hershey, PA taking in all things sweet. Someone had told Tommy that the town

Clear nails underarms cheap viagra the NYC burnt canadian online pharmacy looks. Sides place. Ordered generic cialis says price shade ortho tri lo online pharmacy on Clinique products friend the viagra in india at Ann Try just.

actually smells like chocolate, so as soon as we got there, I stuck my head out the window only to discover that person lied. Even though the town didn’t smell like chocolate, we were able to use our noses to find some good eats.

We started off our weekend with some dranks! We have made it kind of a tradition to visit a brewery on all of our trips, so we headed over to Troegs, which is just down the block from Hershey Park.

We got two beer flights, one regular and one of their specialty beers, and drank our way through almost all of their brews. And any beer drinker knows that beer bring beer munchies, so we hit up their snack bar.

We split the ahi tuna tacos and an order of spicy fries. They totally hit the spot and left us not too full because we had dinner plans. We met up at TJ Rockwell’s with Tommy’s roommate from college for dinner. I didn’t get any pics of my dinner because we were too busy enjoying each others company, but I got Crab Cakes which were amazing. I even had the leftovers for breakfast the next day!

Lunch/dinner the next day was at the Hershey Pantry.

Tommy and I both ordered unsweetened ice teas and I found the little carafe that was brought out to be adorable.

We split a crab and spinach dip, but I took a picture with Tommy’s phone and never sent it to myself! For my entree I got the Mediterranean Salmon Salad.

Being in Hershey, it is almost inevitable to leave without enjoying some chocolate. If you’re a chocolate lover like me, I could not get enough!

I was super tempted to buy this “world’s largest” chocolate bar, but at $40 and 5 pounds, my wallet and belly told me no!

There were many more eats that we had over the weekend, but sadly, many of them went unpictured. The best thing hands down of the weekend was this ice cream…

(That is his I’m ready for a nap face.)

…and this dancing Peanut Butter Cup!

We had a blast!

What was the best thing you ate this week?

  1. Awesome! It’s great seeing Hershey on a blog post. My mom’s side of the family lives there and I used to go to Hershey Park every summer. This past summer, I went to Troeg’s with the family and had a blast. Haven’t had that much beer in a while! Phew!

The town actually did smell like chocolate a few years ago, but the shut the main plant down there and now most of their operations are in Mexico….boo. Stupid running a business and cutting costs…whatever; we want the chocolate smell!

Anyway, great post and happy wiaw!

      • Hi Sylvia –

My friend Sarah tweeted me a link to your post today. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am the brand publicist for The Hershey Company and our iconic brands. I’m so glad to hear you had a wonderful time in Hershey! I saw you went to Hershey’s Chocolate World, HersheyPark and Troegs. Three of my favorite places. I also thought – based on the comment above, you’d be interested in some news we released yesterday, Sept. 18, We just opened the world’s most modern chocolate manufacturing facility in Hershey, PA and still make nearly 90% of our iconic Hershey product in the town they were founded in. Here’s a link in case you’re interested:

    • They had a massive s\’mores making kit with chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallow. I wanted to buy it, but I settled for a s\’more from one of the booths in the park.

    • I wanted to see the movie, but I didn\’t think my little guy would be able to sit through it since he\’s only 2 1/2. Next time!
