Juice Detox?

We had a bright and early start yesterday because Munchkin had his 18 month check up.  He was very brave and took his vaccination well.  He is also in the 100th percentile for height and weight aka he is a baby giant.  He loves playing in the waiting room.  They have kid sized furniture and a huuge tank of fishies.

After we were done at the doctor, we headed over to the Food Emporium supermarket that is just downstairs, because I discovered that they carry PB & Co products.
This made me a very happy girl.  They weren’t kidding when they called it White Chocolate Wonderful. I had a few peanut butter fingers in the car on the way home. Om Nom Nom. Soo good!
I made it home just in time to do a quick wardrobe change and go to kickboxing.  I absolutely love it and wish I would go more often than once a week, but at this point its not really possible.  It makes me feel so strong and powerful, especially when I make the bag move practically across the room. After an hour of intense cardio and some meditation, I was back on my way home to make din din for my men.
Last night’s menu consisted of Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli.  It was my first time trying my hand at making Alfredo sauce from scratch, but it got two thumbs up from the boyfriend.  But, he may be a bit biased in his reviews.
Alfredo is super easy to make and really only has three ingredients, butter, cream and parmesan cheese. The key to making it is to stir, stir, stir and stir some more.  I also used Garden Delight Fettucine for an extra kick of veggies in this otherwise indulgent dish.
After dinner, we turned on Netflix and by chance decided to watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.  The movie was really interesting and it was pretty amazing that people were able to turn their whole lives around by drastically changing their diets.
Inspired by the movie, we took a trip to Trader Joe’s to pick up some fruits and veggies. We got home and made ourselves this bad boy.
We made a gallon of juice and are attempting to do a semi-juice/fruit/veggie detox aka we made up our own plan and are sticking to it, at least for now.  We are also eating regular dinners because we both think we won’t be able to not eat food at all.
This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn to drive Tommy to work because we are taking a road trip when he gets out of work.  We are going to dinner with his Aunt and Uncle in Jersey and then driving down to Philly for the night.  I love road trips so I am mucho excitedo!
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
