My Boyfriend’s Back in Town!

Yesterday was a day filled with excitement and anxiousness.  I could not wait until the plane landed and I would finally see my boyfriend.  While a month doesn’t seem like a really long time, I can honestly say I missed him more than anyone in my whole life.

Before we made it to the airport, Munchkin and I had a lot of last minute things to do.  I had finishing packing things we still used today like toothbrushes, makeup, etc.  We packed up our car and crossed our fingers hat Tommy’s luggage would fit.  We ran some last minute errands and picked up some snacks for our car trip.  We also got some sushi for Tommy to eat when he gets off the plane because he’s been craving it all month.  Once we finished all we had to do in New York, we headed to Newark airport only three hours before the flight was supposed to land.  Last time we drove to Jersey around rush hour, we stood in traffic in Manhattan for about two hours and we didn’t want to be late!

As usual, when I leave super early with hope of being on time, I get there super early. Since the airport isn’t the most exciting place for a toddler we skipped the airport exit and hit up Jersey Gardens Mall to kill some time.

Let me tell you, that place is huuge. We will definitely be taking a trip there in the future to get our shopping on.  We walked around for about an hour, got some food and made it back to the airport just in time for the plane to land.

After about an hour, we were all packed up and ready to hit the road. It’s a good thing I play so much Tetris because getting all of our bags to fit was not an easy achievement.

When we made it home, we unpacked and tried on our new gifts. Munchkin got spoiled as usual but then again so I did too.  And we all now have matching Polska shirts that we will be wearing to the Polish parade in October. After hanging out with the family for a bit, we fell asleep on the couch.

This morning my wonderfully jet lagged boyfriend woke me up at 6am. But he made up for it by making a yummy breakfast.

I also had a breakfast buddy.

Now we have about one million errands to run. Stuff really piles up when you’re out of the country for a month. Hopefully we won’t be to tired to do something fun tonight.  We are trying to go to New Hope tonight. Have a great Thursday!
