First Step to Becoming a Soccer Mom

A lot of frolicking was had today.  After cleaning and running errands, I hit the park with munchkin to get some well deserved play time. But not before I made myself an impromptu dinner of a veggie burger with cheddar and spring mix and a side of cherry tomatoes.

When we got there, the park was empty and munchkin entertained himself mostly with his stroller.

Soon after, two little girls, twins, joined the fun.  The girls were a little over three years old and they were such sweethearts.  They helped munchkin climb up the monkey bars and even read him their picture book.

Their mom was really nice too.  She told me about a soccer program for kids starting at 18 months in our neighborhood.  I am thinking about signing munchkin up for it because I think he would love it, but I need to look into it some more. Being Polish, soccer is like our national sport and I’ve always wanted munchkin to enjoy it.  Does this mean that I’m becoming a soccer mom?

On our way home from the park, we ran into my neighbor who has two kiddos that absolutely love munchkin.  She used to babysit munchkin when I first started law school, but three kids with two under two was too much for her at the time.  Since the kiddos swept munchkin up and brought him inside, I had no choice but to follow.  The little girl, who is almost 3, informed me that she changed her last name to princess.  I think it fits her well. 😉

Once we were both tuckered out, we came home because it was almost bedtime.  Munchkin is not out cold and I’m not far from it.  Hope you have a great weekend!
