A wood watch has been on my [very long] wish list for quite some time now. When Jord contacted me asking if I’f like to review one of their watches, I was all over it. I’m not going to lie, I was a little sad when they asked if I would review one of their men’s watches, but it was the perfect add on to hubby’s 1st wedding anniversary gift. Clocks are modern 1st anniversary gift, and what better than a unique watch to commemorate our first [crazy] married year together.
After perusing the men’s watches, the watch I decided on was the Delmar Series Dark Sandalwood & Blue Carbon. I love everything about the way the watch arrived, from the wood box to the herringbone display pillow, every little detail was very well thought out. The dark wood of the watch just screamed fall to me and I couldn’t wait to give it to Tommy.
As soon as he opened the box, his eyes lit up. He said that he had never heard of wood watches, but that the loved the look and how light it felt on his wrist. The dark wood matches anything he wears, from dressing up for an event to a casual park day.
What surprised him the most was how many compliments he has received on the watch since he started wearing it. After wearing it out on a boy’s night with Alex, he came home and said that three different people stopped to compliment and ask about the watch over the span of two hours.

I love watches. Sadly less people are using them because they rely on smartphones. Personally I prefer a wristwatch. It’s so much easier to glance at my watch than it is to fish the smartphone out of my pocket, and to activate it so it displays the phone.
