Valentine’s Kisses

Goooood morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m really excited to get my day started because I have a surprise waiting for me this evening. Remember when I said Tommy and I wouldn’t have time to celebrate tonight? Well, he had other plans and is making me dinner and dessert! I can’t wait to see what he makes!

To get in the Valentine’s Day spirit, I have a heart shaped breakfast yesterday. I picked up the bowl over the weekend at Target – I just couldn’t resist. What better way to start your breakfast than with some oatmeal in a heart shaped bowl!

I took a trip to CVS yesterday before going to school and while perusing the makeup aisle, I found a lip product that I’ve been keeping an eye out for, for a while. I am a total makeup junkie and I probably have more lip products than anything else in my stockpile collection. I got the idea that since Valentine’s Day is the holiday of love and love = lots of kissing, I’d share some of my favorite lip products today. Who doesn’t want kissable lips on Valentine’s Day?

First up on my list is Burt’s Bees Chapstick. This has been my go to chapstick for years and I always have one with me wherever I go. I love the cooling effect it leaves on you lips.

Next up is Rosebud Salve. Rosebud Salve isn’t only for lips, you can use it on your cuticles or skin if you’re feeling a little dry. It also helps heal small cuts and soothes bug bites. I apply it before bed and wake up with hydrated lips every morning.

Another multi-purpose lip product is the Korres Lip Butter. This stuff is super moisturizing on your lips, but can be used on your cheeks for a pop of color as well. All of the butters smell amazing too. Like I want to eat it out of the little pot amazing.

Buxon Lips was one of the first higher end lip glosses I ever purchased, and since then I’ve been repurchasing it when I get through the tube. It’s a lip plumping gloss, so it gives you a bit of a tingle and cooling feeling when you put it on.

Next on my list of glossiness is MAC’s Cremesheen Glass. MAC lipglosses tend to be sticky and glittery, but not these babies. This give you a nice, natural, glossy lip. The only downside is that if you get a limited edition color and fall in love with it, it might be tough to repurchase.

Last but not least, Revlon Lip Butter is my latest purchase. I’ve only used it for one day, but so far I like it. It is moisturizing and leaves a nice sheer color on your lips. I also love that the colors are named after dessert – I got cupcake. No surprise there.

Slap on some gloss and go give someone you love a kiss! Have a great Valentine’s Day! I’ll be back tomorrow with some very yummy eats.

    • Check out some stores today. I bet all Valentine's Day things are on clearance already! Do you have Target in Germany because that's where I got mine.

  1. Happy Valentine's Day! 🙂 I love the heart shaped bowl! Have fun tonight!

I love MAC lipgloss. It's deifnitely my go-to for lip products. I'm making us dinner tonight and we are just relaxing. We went out on Saturday. So now it's just a low-key evening. I'm looking forward to it.

  2. My favorite favorite is Cocoa Butter's chapstick – it looks like a glue stick but is absolutely amazing and smells like vacation. Try it – you will not be disappointed. Have so much fun tonight! Going out with some co-workers tonight for a special romantic meal just the three of us

    • I think I've seen that before..it's like a really huge stick, right? I can only imagine how good it smells.

Hope you had a great night!

  3. I just love my cherry chapstick. I'm not responsible for anything else. But what I do love is heart-shaped and valentine's dishes. I want to check out Target tomorrow!! See if I can get some deals.

    • I'm not a fan of cherry chapstick. When I was younger I used to get strawberry chapstick. I need to go to Target too. There was a really cute mug I've been eyeing and it probably costs a dollar today since it's after V Day.

  4. What Does what does cherry chapstick mean
Mean In I Kissed A Girl?
I Kissed a Girl, a fan favorite, is on Perry’s 2008 album One of the Boys. But in her song, cherry chapstick does mean lip balm. Katy Perry fans have just figured out that the song is about a popular lip balm.

Lyrics about the item she keeps in her change purse made the word chapstick popular. KatyCats, a fan site, was the first to point out how strange the lyrics were. So far today, more than two dozen people have shared the message.

It is a fun way to find out how the song came to be and what cherry-flavored lip balm has to do with it. It is a slang term for a woman. Trump used the term for the first time on The Apprentice.
