Welcome to my new home!

I guess you may have noticed some changes around here. I moved the blog over to my own domain! Very exciting stuff. I’m working on making it look a bit better than it presently does, so please be patient with me. I promise I’ll have it up and running soon!

The weather in New York has been gorgeous lately, so Munchkin and I took full advantage. On our way to the supermarket, we decided to make a pit stop at the park. I have to say I love going to the park on school days. It’s so peaceful and I don’t have to worry able Munchkin getting trampled by big kids.

After the park, we headed over to the supermarket to pick up some things that we needed to get for the grilled pizzas I was making for dinner.  I also headed over to the bread aisle to see if I could find the Pumpkin Spice bread I had been hearing about, and I’m happy to report that I was successful!

When we got home, I got started on our pizzas. I bought Garlic and Herb pizza dough at Trader Joe’s for on 99 cents! A great deal for something that turned out very yummy.

I split the dough in two, rolled it out and threw it on the grill for a few minutes to it to bake. Afterwards, I topped it with pizza sauce, lots of cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms and turkey pepperoni. After a few more minutes on the grill to melt the cheese and warm the topping, dinner was served.

Grilling pizza is definitely my favorite way of making it at home.  It’s quick, easy and gives you the perfect crispy, thin crust.

I woke up this morning knowing I had to get some pumpkin spice bread into my belly and what better way than through French toast.  I just mixed one egg with some milk, dipped my bread and put it in the frying pan with a bit of cooking spray. Five minutes later, I had delicious pumpkin French toast.

It was a great way to start the morning and I think its safe to say that the pumpkin spice bread will be making quite a few appearances on the blog.

I am also happy to report that we got a Halloween costume delivery this morning.  I’m still waiting for mine to arrive, but I am so happy with what we chose for Munchkin to be this year. He also didn’t seem to mind wearing it when we tried it on which is always a huge plus.

Now I have to get some cleaning done! Tommy will be back from work soon and the house is still a huge mess.

Have a great weekend everyone!

What are your plans for the weekend?  Do you dress up for Halloween?

  1. Yay! I'm so glad that you found the pumpkin swirl bread too! 🙂 I do dress up for Halloween. I have no idea what I want to be this year. I guess I should probably get a move on since Halloween is in 3 weeks!

  2. I haven’t checked in here for a while as I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are great quality so I guess I will add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend 🙂
