What I’m Loving Wednesday #5

Since it is Wednesday, it’s time to share what I’m loving this week!

I’m loving… my new earrings. My wonderful boyfriend surprised me with them and a ton of other great things from his trip from Poland.  He spoils me big time!

I’m loving... blowing bubbles with my Munchkin.  He got the bubbles in his Easter basket from his god-mommy and didn’t really understand the concept until recently.  Now he runs around chasing them like a crazy baby.

I’m loving… Trader Joe’s unsweetened dried fruit bars. They taste just like fruit snacks that I used to eat as a kid, but theres are 100% fruit with no added sugars.

I’m loving... that I’m getting a haircut on Friday.  My hair is probably the longest it has been in years and its getting a little out of control.  I think I’m gonna go for a long bob look, kinda like Lauren Conrad.

And last but certainly not least…

I’m loving… my two men.

What are you loving this week?

Celebrating the Solstice

I ate copious amounts of almond butter and jelly sandwiches yesterday.  Look closely, that’s not your regular old jelly.  That’s homemade strawberry jam made by my mom over the weekend.  It is seriously like heaven in my mouth.  I used to smuggle jam into the United States from Poland because I love homemade jam so soo much!

I also had an Odwalla bar which was pretty good, but nothing will top the jelly.

After I had my jelly fix for the day, Munchkin and I went to the Long Island City Piers to hang out with Munchkin’s god-daddy and celebrate the summer solstice by watching the latest sunset of the year.

The park was recently expanded and they added so many cool new things, like the hammocks that you can lay in and relax while admiring the view of the city skyline.  Munchkin was not impressed by the hammocks, he likes the ground below him not to be moving. He had a really good time climbing around on different benches and hanging out with his godfather.

The brand new playground which was opened just a few months ago is already closed, so all we could do was admire it from afar. :(

The sunset was absolutely gorgeous, but then again every sunset looks pretty great with the skyline.

It kind of makes me sad to think that the days are going to get shorter and shorter again, I love the long days of summer where it seems like the sun will never set.  Hope you all had a great first day of summer!
